1. Who we are

Klaraki is run by Spyridon Angelopoulos, trading as Klaraki, Ariadnis 10, 163 45 Ilioupoli, Athens, Greece (VAT no. EL139848195, GEMI no. 197214803000). Our olive grove is in Koroni, Messinia, and is cared for by Giorgos and Anna.

2. Adoption is symbolic

Adopting a tree with Klaraki is entirely symbolic.

When you adopt a tree, you buy a service from us, with the benefits described in these terms, and nothing more.

You do not acquire ownership of, or any other right in, the tree or the land. You also have no right to its olives, its oil or any other produce, and no right to use or exploit the tree, the land or their produce in any way. The tree and the land always remain the property of our family.

The olive oil we send comes from the established trees of our family grove. It does not come from the young tree planted for you.

3. Our packages and what each one includes

New Roots: €29, one payment

• (a) We plant a young Koroneiki olive tree in our family grove in your name, or in the name of someone you choose, with a numbered tag. You receive a digital certificate of symbolic adoption with a photo of your tree and its location. (Part of the price for this: €14.)
• (b) We care for your tree for three years from the day it is planted. You receive one photo update of your tree every year, and your tree has its own “Find my tree” page. (Part of the price for this: €15, which is €5 for each year.)
• 48-hour early access to our olive oil packages each season, for the three years.
• Available worldwide. Nothing is shipped.

Little Branch: €69 per year

• 1.5 litres of extra virgin olive oil from our family's harvest, in three 500 ml tins (one of them with an illustrated label from our Klaraki story).
• Free shipping within the EU.
• Limited quantity each season.

Whole Tree: €95 for one year, or €255 for three years

Whole Tree is an olive oil subscription. The tree is our gift to you: a symbolic adoption for three years, with both plans. The oil is yearly: you receive one harvest for each year you pay for.

• One-year plan (€95): olive oil from 1 harvest (2026/27) (+ a tree as a gift, symbolic adoption for 3 years).
• Three-year plan (€255): olive oil from 3 harvests (2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29) (+ a tree as a gift, symbolic adoption for 3 years).

USA: we ship oil packages to the USA for an extra €15 per parcel, which includes prepaid customs duties.

Other countries outside the EU: please write to us before ordering. If we can ship there, local import taxes or customs fees may be charged to the recipient on delivery.

Olive oil is a natural product. Its taste and colour change a little from harvest to harvest. Photos on the site show our trees and products as truly as we can, but every tree is different.

4. Planting and your three years

• We plan to plant all adopted trees between January and March 2027. The exact date depends on the weather and on when the young trees are ready. We will email you before planting day.
• Your three years start on the day your tree is planted, not on the day you pay.
• Within 14 days of planting we email you your certificate, a photo of your tree and its location. Your “Find my tree” code is sent to you right after your order, and your page fills up with photos from planting day.
• If planting is delayed beyond 31 March 2027, we will tell you, and you can choose to wait or to cancel and get a full refund.
• If a young tree does not survive, we replace it with another young tree at no cost and let you know. Your three years continue as before.
• If, for a reason we cannot control, your tree cannot stay where it was planted, we may replace it with another tree in our family's groves. We will always tell you and send you the new photo and location.

5. Oil shipments

• Oil from the 2026/27 harvest is shipped in January–February 2027. In the following years, we ship after each harvest and tell you the expected date by email.
• If you bought a tree as a gift at Christmas, the gift certificate arrives first, and the oil follows in January–February.
• We ship with a trusted postal or courier service. Delivery usually takes 5–10 working days within the EU and longer to the USA. You receive a tracking number by email.
• If your oil has not been shipped by 31 March 2027, you can cancel and get a full refund of the oil.
• Address changes: you can change the delivery address by email until we ship your parcel. Please check the address carefully when you order. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong, we will send it again once you give us the correct address, but we may ask you to cover the extra shipping.
• Lost parcels: if your parcel has not arrived within 30 days of the shipping email, let us know and we will trace it with the carrier. If it is lost, we send a new one or refund you.
• If a parcel arrives damaged, or something is missing, send us a photo within 7 days and we will send a replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer.
• If we can no longer ship to your country (for example because of new customs rules, tariffs or a stop in postal services), we will tell you as soon as we know and you can choose: a full refund of the oil not shipped, or delivery to another address in a country we ship to.

6. If our harvest is smaller than expected

Olive harvests depend on the weather. If our harvest is smaller than expected and we cannot send the oil you paid for, we will tell you as soon as we know and refund the full price of the oil you have not received. For the three-year Whole Tree plan, this means €85 for each harvest we cannot send. Your tree and its updates are not affected.

7. Subscriptions and renewal

• Nothing renews automatically. Before each new season we email you and you choose whether to continue.
• New Roots lasts three years from planting. After that, you can choose to renew. We will tell you the price before then. If you don't renew, your tree stays in our grove and its tag stays on it.
• Whole Tree (one year) covers one harvest of oil; your tree and its updates still last three years. After that harvest, you can choose each year whether to order oil again: you order the Little Branch at your adopter price, because you already have your tree. Whole Tree (three years) covers three harvests.

8. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping within the EU is free. For the USA, €15 per parcel is added at checkout. You pay online when you order, through our secure payment provider.

9. If we ever have to stop

We are building Klaraki to last. But if we ever have to stop the adoption programme or the oil subscriptions permanently, we will:

• tell you by email at least 30 days in advance,
• refund the part you paid for but have not received:
  • New Roots: €5 for each full year of care left (and the full €29 if your tree has not been planted yet),
  • Whole Tree: the full price of any oil not yet shipped (€95 for a one-year plan, €85 per harvest for the three-year plan),
  • Little Branch: the full price, if your oil has not been shipped,
• keep your tree planted in our family grove and send you a last photo and its location.

10. Visits

Symbolic adopters are welcome to visit the grove. Visits are free and arranged in advance by email, depending on the season and on our family's availability. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

11. Right of withdrawal

If you live in the EU, you have the right to cancel. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy below.

12. Gifts

If you buy a package as a gift, you are our customer. You can choose the date your gift email is sent (for example Christmas Eve) and add a personal message. The person you name receives the certificate, the updates and the “Find my tree” page. Please make sure their name, email and (for oil) address are correct. Any refund is paid back to you, the buyer.

13. Photos and stories from the grove

We share photos and stories from our grove on our website, newsletter and social media. They may show your tree, but never your name or dedication without your permission.

14. Liability

We do our best to deliver exactly what we promise. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or customs, or by events outside our control (for example extreme weather, plant disease or strikes). Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the package concerned. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law.

15. Contact, complaints and applicable law

• Email info@klaraki.com. We usually reply within 2 working days.
• If we can't solve a problem together, you can contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or the consumer authority in your own country. EU consumers can also use the EU's online dispute resolution service.
• These terms are governed by Greek law. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
